Commerce on fairground stalls

Trade fairs are short-term events established by the Municipality on special occasions, events, or festivities, reserved for professional operators in public areas from all over Italy. Trade fairs are open both to holders of stall authorisation and to holders of SCIA for itinerant business activities.
Fairs must not be confused with apparently similar initiatives, but regulated by other regulations, these being:
SUBJECT REQUIREMENTS:
- possession of SCIA or authorisation for trading in public areas;
- registration in the business register for commercial enterprises; registration in the special section of the business register for agricultural entrepreneurs.
OBJECT REQUIREMENTS:
Commerce in trade fairs must comply with the Municipal Regulation which established the trade fair.
The start of the activity is subject to a request for the concession of the stall, which must be submitted following public calls for tenders, according to the criteria of preference stipulated in the Municipal Regulation.
The request is prescribed by SECTION I - COMMERCE AND SIMILAR ACTIVITIES - POINT 2 - COMMERCE ON PUBLIC AREAS Activity numbers 2.1 and 2.3 - of table A annexed to Italian Legislative Decree dated 25 November 2016, number 222.

Inspections are conducted by:
- the Municipal police.
